The Seven sons of Sceva tried to exorcize a demon possessed man by using what they saw and heard from Paul. They were sorely sorry.
It is estimated that in their first year 80 out of 100 new businesses started fail. Within five years after that 16 of the remaining 20 also fail. The primary reason: not understanding or knowing enough about the business they are in. Too often in our faith walk we are like that. We want to grow quickly without sacrifice, time with God, and patience to wait on God. We cut corners in our bible study, church attendance, prayer moments, learning just the bare minimum to ‘get by.’ But God is not a part-time proposition, He is a full-time consideration. Why not take some time to consider Him this weekend.
