We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stopped playing. – R. Murray
Though God said ‘No’ to Moses entering the Promised Land, doesn’t mean that at 120 years old he wasn’t physically fit to do so. WOW!
Life has to have some sort of amusement, for it brings the humor necessary for healing, and it releases the stress to keep us from going off the deep end. It’s true we gain greater responsibilities in life as we grow older and God blesses us with abundance, family, work, relationships, etc.; but none of these are meant to suck all the joy out of living, only to enhance it. Yes we take life serious, but we’re not to let life’s events take the very will to live from us. I think the key to this is to remember that no matter what age we attain in life, we will ALWAYS be God’s children, and as far as I can remember my childhood was fun!
