It’s not knowing what to do, it’s doing what you know. – A. Robbins
One excused himself to go and bury his father, another to say goodbye to his family – noble causes, but wrong choices. Hmm!
When you think about it most people do desire good for themselves and mankind, and they seek ways to make it come to pass. There is nothing inherently wrong with this thinking except that everything that is good is not necessarily appropriate for us as far as God’s purpose for our lives is concerned. I’m not suggesting that God’s plans for us is something less than good, but that rather He calls us not so much to desire the good, but to do His will. And this may mean giving up our pursuit of ‘good’ for His greater will or call on our life. When we cling too much to our desires it easily prevents us from being what we ought to be and can be. God will be at work today in our lives – will we cling to our desires or follow His call?
Until tomorrow…..
