God calls for our obedience at the place where we are most securely tied to the kingdoms of this world. - Anon
The rich young ruler let his wealth keep him from the 'riches' of God and eternal life. Hmm!
For the most part many of us have no problem obeying God in most of His commands. We enjoy church, the fellowship, some bible study, and even giving back to God. But we still have some ‘high places’ in our life which we honor more than God. The enemy readily gives us reassurance they are okay and we rationalize it to be so, but God is always after us to remove them. We may often wonder why it seems our trials always center around one or two issues in life – it’s because God is saying we’re tied to the world here. Abraham was so eager to have a child and God blessed him and Sarah. But God eventually used Isaac to test Abraham’s heart. God still works the same way today.
Until Monday…..
