Cheeeeese!

Paul was so joyful in Christ governor Festus thought he was ‘insane.’ Anyhow, Christ was preached. AMEN!

Cheerfulness, or joy is a gift we can give to ourselves at any time. We’re never really at the need of others to cheer us up or lift our spirit. This is not to say we don’t need others in our lives or that their efforts to help are futile, but simply the attitude to be joyful or cheerful resides within us. And since God has promised to be with us at all times our hearts should always be rejoicing. For if God’s presence here doesn’t cheer us or bring us joy, then having all of heaven at our fingertips will not either since it is the ceaseless praise of God. Jesus took everything that happened to him in stride, even the cross, for the ‘joy set before him.’  Life is not always easy, rosy, or pain-free, but it is still a gift from God, and since He is with us in the midst of whatever we’re going through we can smile.

Say Cheese!

True, God gave us faces, but we create our own expressions. –Sparks  

Jacob’s spirit was “revived” with news of Joseph. Hezekiah “wept sore” in prayer. Mary “pondered things in her heart” about Jesus. I imagine all of these pleased God.  
All of us go through various stages of emotion throughout the day and our life, and if we’re not careful we get jaded in our views and personal outlook. But the fact that God loves you no matter what the situation or circumstance should anchor your heart with JOY and express itself overwhelmingly in all you do. So as others see you and encounter your 'spirit' remember it speaks volumes as to who you are and to whom you belong. Say cheese….!

Enjoying the Days...even Monday!

If you’re not enjoying the journey, you probably won’t like the destination. – J. Tye  

The apostle Paul 'boasted' about what his life of suffering for Christ was achieving for him in glory. Hmm!   

It goes without saying that we should be enjoying life each day just as it comes. Amidst all the “Monday Mornings” and the daily trials we should be able to find the abundant life Jesus promised, providing we see it through His nail pierced hands and feet. Though God has promised to care and provide for us He never said everyday would be a breeze nor all of life cozy and comfortable,just that He would be there with us. So it's His company we should enjoy daily. Take time out to find the joy in your daily walk, it’s there if you look upward.
