Getting vs Becoming

Abraham became a ‘friend’ of God, Moses became ‘God’s man’ and neither of them made it to the Promised Land God spoke of. Hmm!  

All too often in our prayer lives we go to God asking Him to give, grant, supply, or meet our needs – which are mostly physical – and rarely do we thank Him for what He is making of us. All of us can look back and see the changes God has made in us and for this we should be profusely thankful. The idea of getting things is great, but just like a new toy when the novelty wears off, we’re back to asking for more. Life is not so much about getting as it is becoming, and that becoming or manifesting all of what God made us for. So if there is no getting today, just give thanks for what God is making of you.

What He's Done For Us

Miracles are designed with one goal in mind: to bring glory to God. – J. Bernt 

The rich farmer built bigger barns to store his miraculous abundant harvest so he could eat, drink, and be merry. God required his soul that night! OUCH! 

If we would take time to reminisce and look back over our life, no matter the road traveled, the bumps and bruises garnered, the ups and downs encountered, we would all have to say God has truly been good to us. Better than we truly deserve – YES – we are living miracles. And God will be doing the miraculous in our lives today. Let us not forget to do our part.

Loved and Love Unconditionally

The greatest benefit we have is we’re loved unconditionally by God, the greatest challenge we have is to love God unconditionally. – Anon


Job stated, “though he slay me, yet will I trust him!” We look at his life and realize these were not hollow words. WOW!


One of the things that stands out in the world is a person who ‘walks the talk,’ they deliver exactly what they promise; consistently day by day. We know this to be true of God’s love for us and He desires it to be true of our love for Him. When He asks us to go, to reach out, to speak for Him and we don’t He still loves us. However, when we don’t go, speak, or reach out as He asks the question we must answer is do we really love Him? Unconditional love has no limitations and accepts no excuses. Just ask Jesus. Time and resources are limited for all of us, but time is running out for the lost. Besides, we serve a Father who will always ensure we have what we need when we need it.
