Out of the comfort zone

If God is asking you to do something, he already knows about the risks involved. – Anon

Ananais questioned the Lord when he was directed to go lay hands on a new convert. But he went, and a great church persecuter was defeated, and a great missionary evangelist was born, Paul. WOW!

Anxiety. Fear. Worry. For some reason even though we are believers; these words seem to creep into our life whenever God asks us to do something out of the realm of ‘ordinary.’ We’re good at ordinary, it’s safe and familiar, and often comfortable, but God is looking for us to stretch out in faith by getting out of or expanding our comfort zone, and trust him in unfamiliar surroundings. Great things are waiting to happen. I pray He may count on us all today.

Until tomorrow…..

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” – Matthew 5:11-12

Why worry?

Why worry when you can pray for free? – Anon

Though Sanballat and Tobiah were openly hostile to Nehemiah, he left it in God’s hands and continued to work on rebuilding the wall. He had great success. AMEN!

As long as we live there will always be something going on that begs to get our attention, that seeks to get our focus and energies diverted there – to worry about. When you think about it, worry is really just a negative way of praying. Worry is really just ‘you’ talking to yourself in your head, and allowing the doubts, fears, and unknowns to escape and impact your health. This leads to stress, anxiety, restlessness, lack of focus, and distrust. God invites us to come freely before Him to make our pleas and petitions known, tell Him the desires of our heart; and He will gladly bear our burdens. If your life seems heavy, anxiety filled, or unfocused, maybe you need some ‘closet’ time.

Until tomorrow…..

Again, don't get Bitter, get Better!

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you mad. – A. Huxley

The Pharisees and religious leaders of Jesus’ day were always at odds with Jesus just because he was the TRUTH. Go figure!

Stress. Anger. Anxiety. These words and others like them wreak havoc on our physical make-up. Why, because God made us in His image to be at peace with Him. It is really only when we are confronted with the truth, which we refuse to accept and obey; that we begin to suffer such maladies. We can’t put any more hours in the day, work any harder than we already are, or change anyone’s thinking. WE CAN control ourselves and our obedience to the truth. God’s word is not given to take the fun out of life, but that we may have life more abundantly. So when the truth confronts, don’t get angry, get right!

Until tomorrow…..
