That Personal Touch

To the world you might be one person, but to one person you might be the world. – R. Otto

When Andrew found Jesus he went and got his brother Peter. That meeting changed Peter’s world. Amen!

It’s an amazing fact that is often overlooked by most. We read the Acts 2:38-41 account and often come away feeling that's how the world will be won - with a major miracle event, such as the often seen Franklin Graham or Greg Laurie crusades, tent revivals, or feel-good conferences. These things are well and good and have their place, but it still took someone to personally invite the individuals who pack these events. See, in reality souls are won one by one, PERSONALLY. It takes a Christian to make another Christian or introduce them to Christ, and we know the enemy is not doing it. So, that leaves us. Maybe we should ask God to help us be the one to do so today.
Until tomorrow…..

“My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth, and someone would bring him back, remember this, whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.” – James 5:19-20

That PERSONAL Message

A good sermon often leaves you wondering how the preacher knew so much about you. – Anon

Nathanael was amazed that Jesus knew so much about him before they met. Jesus said “the amazement” is just beginning. WOW!

Though we are absent from one another’s presence often we are never absent from God’s presence. There is no place we can go from his presence, for all of creation is before Him at all times. We may not acknowledge His presence or entreat him, but He is always there, and YES that includes when we willingly sin. A good moral conscience will not stop you from sinning, that’s an act of your will and self-control. God knows what He needs to say to you and He often uses people (preachers) to say it, because He cares. Have we thought about what He has ‘preached’ lately?

Until tomorrow……

Pastor Botts

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” – Romans 10:14-15
